Anne Turner: Stay-Home Triathlon
One day to go to Anne’s stay-home 70.3 triathlon for Mission Motorsport. Anne and her husband, John, are friends and supporters of The Forces’ Motorsport Charity and between them, they are really going for it this time!
Streaming from HERE at 7am onwards 2nd May 2020.
Here is Anne explaining how the event is going to work.
”The whole thing will be timed on a stop watch from start to finish, recording total elapsed time.
The run will take place in the garden, with the distance and leg time tracked using Apple Watch.
I’m using an Elite Novo Smart turbo trainer with my Halfords special Pendleton Brooke bike for the cycle leg. I’ll be riding using Zwift to track distance and leg time, on the 23.6km Greatest London Flat circuit. A total of 3.81 laps and 621.6m of elevation.
Finally for the row leg, I have a JLL R200 rowing machine. It’s magnetic resistance so there’s no momentum like the Concept2 machines you see in the gym. Distance will be taken from the machine, and leg time from Apple Watch.
I’ll be starting at 7am on Saturday morning, and hoping to finish by 1pm. I’ve never done this before, I have no idea how long it’s going to take. 😊
Please support Mission Motorsport by clicking the donate link in my bio if you possibly can. Thank you 💕”
We will be cheering you on via video link and the entire MM team thanks you for this monumental effort.
