A Swift Helping Hand

With a lack of marquee at this year’s Race of Remembrance, the charity needed to source an alternative to ensure that beneficiaries could escape the hustle and bustle of the race meeting and that staff could operate on the ground. Thanks to the generosity of Swift Group, we were able to do just that with the loan of a top-of-the-range motorhome through their rental arm - SwiftGO

Sat in a prime position in the paddock throughout the whole weekend, the generously loaned RV became a central focus point for everybody - including the 43 beneficiaries directly supported by the charity at RoR.

From Occupational Therapists treating those who needed help, beneficiaries escaping the noise and busy paddock area to staff cooking hot food for those who needed it, the RV was used for a plethora of reasons with both beneficiaries and staff taking advantage of Swift’s generosity and utilising the vehicle as and when they needed to.

Operations Manager Mark Jordan said, “ We are incredibly grateful to Swift Group for the loan of the motorhome. With the lack of Marquee, we needed to ensure that beneficiaries and staff had somewhere warm, safe and comfortable to go if and when they needed it. Swift answered our calls for help and without the use of the motorhome Race of Remembrance would have been very different.”

“Thank you Swift Group on behalf of not only the staff but the beneficiaries and volunteers .”
