The National Transition Event 2025: A Resounding Success!
The National Transition Event on 24 February at Silverstone proved to live up to the billing as the largest Armed Forces community event of this kind in the UK, with over 1,900 members of the community walking through the door of The Wing on the day.
Made up of attendees, over 200 exhibiting organisations, 100 drivers & cars, and representatives from across government, industry and the third sector, the event was pulled together by a small team of 15 staff, as well as support from 70 volunteers.
43 charities were able to exhibit for free, with 33 veteran-owned small businesses showcasing their enterprises in the Military in Business Village delivered by X-Forces Enterprise. Further transitional support came from LinkedIn, Severn Trent and the Forces Employment Charity, with enabling organisations like JLR providing a chauffeur service from MK train station.
Other highlights included a government announcement around employment and industry support from Veterans & People Minister Al Carns DSO OBE MC MP, a veterans Open Mic Inspirational Speaker event on the Community Stage, and the Troops’ Track Day of course, that delivered over 1,000 track rides across 10,000 miles of smiles on the GP Circuit.
Feedback so far has been phenomenal, with 98% of those responding to our survey saying that they would be likely to recommend to a friend, and 97% of exhibitors stating that they would recommend to another organisation.
